Secretary, Treasurer, Worship Chairman; as well as the individuals responsible for the Dinner Committee, Program, Music, and Press Representative. The third page contains a menu reflecting a well-balanced meal for the night, including fresh fruit, olives, roast turkey, salad, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, coffee, and tea. The final page reflects the program, including: the toast mistress, music, welcome address, grace, introduction of guest speaker Mrs. Kay B. Nichols, the address by Mrs. Hobson Reynolds, farewell music, and exchange of gifts.

The Pyramid Club was founded in 1937 and dissolved in 1963 (Anderson 2015). This building was a “small, exclusive club for black professionals" who worked collectively to “foster the ‘cultural, civic, and social advancement of Negroes in Philadelphia’” (Anderson 2015). The Pyramid Club hosted a plethora of social and cultural events that were more locally important such as this Christmas Dinner, and also larger events such as “performances by Marian Anderson and Duke Ellington,” and speakers Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and J. Robert Oppenheimer (Anderson 2015).

The local president of the A.M.E. Ministers’ Wives Alliance was Mrs. Vida Mae (née Harris) Bright (December 26, 1920-June 24, 2014), the wife of Bishop John Douglas Bright Sr., of the African Methodist Episcopal Church (The Philadelphia Tribune 2014). In her time in Philadelphia, she was the first lady at Allen A.M.E. Church and Mother Bethel A.M.E. Church (The Philadelphia Tribune 2014).

The guest speaker at this event was Hobson R. Reynolds (1898-1991), a prominent funeral home director in Philadelphia, member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, and held the position of Director of the Civil Liberties Department for the Improved and Benevolent Protective Order of Elks for 25 years (North Carolina African American Heritage Commission, n.d.).
